first day of winter....

today is the first day of winter...
it is also the shortest day of the year...
from here...
the days get longer...
and while...it certainly will stay colder for the immediate future...
i like to think of this as a turning point...
where...sunlight is given back..instead of taken....

there's so much i want to write about...
but...
it seems the holiday season is always so busy..
and i really mean to write...
i just never take the time...
so..
for now..the words can wait...

like summer sun...
they will come..

sara groves...add to the beauty...
